- If a trainee, enrolled in a course of three or more months duration, chooses to withdraw from the course, under s236A of the Education Act 1989, they are entitled to a refund as follows:
- If a trainee withdraws before commencement (defined as the first
day of required attendance), he/she is entitled to a complete refund
of any course fees paid.
- If a trainee withdraws within 8 days of commencement, he/she is
entitled to a refund of any course fees paid reduced by the lesser
of $500 or 10% of completed payments.
- If a trainee withdraws more than eight days after commencement,
he/she is not entitled to any refund.
Should a trainee wish to withdraw the following procedures must be followed.
- Discuss the decision to withdraw with the Tutor.
- Apply in writing to the
National Training Coordinator
- Fill out the Withdrawal form, this can be obtained from
Amida staff.
- If a fees refund is applicable and requested, the request must be made in
writing to the National Operations Manager with all supporting documentation
attached.
- Post deliver to the Amida head office

- If Amida Training cancels a course due to lack of numbers, a
full refund will be given.
- If Amida Training is unable to complete a course, our Student
Fee Protection arrangements will ensure you receive a pro-rata
refund or can attend an alternative course, where available.
To protect student fees, Amida Training Ltd has signed an agreement with New Zealand Public Trust. Student fees are lodged with the Public Trust for protection against unexpected closure of the
training facility due to financial collapse or other such event where the
facility is unable to continue providing courses. Students may contact the Public Trust in their area at any time
if they wish to have more information. Contact phone numbers can be found in the local phone book.
